Part time Job Description

  • Teacher will need to impart the skill of playing the piano and music theory knowledge to students.
  • Teacher will need to prepare students for piano practical and music theory examinations.
  • Students can range from children from age of 4.5 years old to senior citizens.
Job Requirement
  • Candidate must possess at least Grade 8 piano and Grade 8 music theory certificates.
  • Patient and be able to engage students in learning to play the piano.
  • Able to teach students piano practical skills: read and play notes from music scores, rhythm and counting etc.
  • Able to teach student music theory.
  • Able to prepare students for ABRSM and/or LCM piano and theory exams.
  • Able to prepare students for yearly school recital.
  • Able to work with parents to help students develop their skill in playing the piano and e.g give feedback to parents on child's progress.
  • Able to undertake administrative work e.g. mark attendance, arrange for make up classes etc.
