Florist Assistant

We are a small business focussed on providing couples with flowers for their wedding celebrations.  Seeking a part-timer to do conditioning of flowers (remove thorns and leaves from flower stems, changing pails of water, ribbon cutting, etc) on a weekly basis.  Work hours are usually from 12.30-3pm on Thursdays and Fridays, occasionally on Saturdays depending on whether there are jobs that require on-site setups. 

The main responsibility of this part timer is not to design the arrangements but to prep the flowers for the main designer to arrange. However if prep work is done well, there is potential for the person to try their hand at actual arrangement. Prior knowledge or experience with flowers is not required. But here are key attitudes we are looking for:  -responsibility (please do not be late!) -commitment (please do the task to the best of your ability, whether it's big or small) -a great attitude (please don't be grumpy. some of the tasks may be menial/laborious/repititive at first)
Those living around Boon Keng MRT will be given priority. Students or those with flexible schedules especially from Thurs-Saturdays highly encouraged to apply. Pay will be by the hour.  We do not have any quota for foreign candidates, hence only locals will be considered.
