Job Description

You’ll be in charge of:
  • Providing direction in the execution and measurement of guest service standards within Beverage operations to ensure continued growth and profitability
  • Overseeing the restaurant’s wine program, including developing wine lists and wine pairings
  • Developing and implementing strategies to maximize wine sales and cost efficiencies, both across F&B concepts and outlets and through retail channels direct to guests
  • Developing a strong and continuously evolving wine program that is financially successful and exciting for our members
  • Keeping in mind personal taste and price preference, design profiling processes to generate individualized wine profiles for the guests
  • Facilitating training to all employees of Beverage operations, and lead service staff to execute best in class wine service
  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of wine & beverage purchasing (within budget guidelines) and inventory, including ordering, receiving, organizing, maintenance, counting and reporting
  • Establishing and fostering strong relationships with wine & beverage suppliers in order to ensure best product and pricing available
  • Working closely with the General Manager by reporting financial statistic in a timely and accurate manner as well as other issues with the wine program
  • Tracking and researching beverage trends in the industry and develop strategies utilizing market and consumer trend information
  • Advising guests on wine purchases, collection building and on wine-related lifestyle topics (e.g. wine trips, purchasing equipment, etc)

  • You have to be residing in Singapore with eligible documents and Permanent Residents currently residing in Singapore

Skills & Work Experience
  • At least 3-5 years relevant experience in hospitality, with a concentration in wine
  • Experience in running diverse wine portfolio (responsibilities should include list selection, purchasing, inventory management, staff training, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of wine characteristics; food and wine pairing
  • Passion for sharing wine lifestyle with a diverse membership base
  • Knowledge of beverage inventory and cost management
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Certification in Hospitality-related field or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job (specifically related to wine & beverage)
  • WSET or CMS certification
