Cataloguer

Analyse the library’s existing and heritage collections as well as cataloguing needs

Propose a set of cataloguing fields based on above analysis

Propose controlled vocabulary and taxonomy for cataloguing fields

If necessary, propose special treatment for unique items

Catalogue the library’s collections according to the latest industry best practices and cataloguing standards

Supervise the library officers cataloguing the library collection

Ensure the quality of cataloguing work through sample checks

Update management on cataloguing progress and project schedule

Cover library staff roles as needed

Minimum Degree, preferably in Library Science & Information Sciences/Archival Studies/Information and Data Management

Master Degree in any of the above fields would be advantageous

Minimum years of experience: 3-5 years

Organised, meticulous and able to multi task

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and as a member of the team
