Project Manager

Plan, manage and oversee all aspects of the study, design and specification of requirements for the projects, including design briefs, design drawings, preparation of tender documents and tender evaluation leading to award of contractors. In addition, to review plans, designs, specifications and drawings as well as provide direction and advice for project implementation. Work closely with various stakeholders, internal and external, including government agencies. Lead a team of Senior Project Engineers in achieving project and team deliverables. Evaluate and analyse the contractor's proposed baseline master programme to identify gaps and weaknesses in the proposed programme, and to manage and track the approved master program for the Project in consultation with client and the consultants. Reports and presentations to management shall be carried out to highlight progress, delays, catch up plans, budget/expenditure status and other deliverables as required in progress reports. Manage and assess the design development works prepared by the consultants and contractors including but not limited to checking of shop drawings, sample approvals, mock-up approvals, etc. Evaluate and assess contractor's construction methodology and method statements for adequacy and completeness Monitor the authority submissions and approvals by the consultants and contractors, to meet the timeline specified in the master program. Resolve discrepancies or technical conflicts, which may arise among consultants, stakeholders and contractors, while carrying out the works for the Project. Provide overall coordination/liaison and interface with all contractors, consultants, authorities, services providers, client, and any other party involved in the Project

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in the construction industry. Past working experiences with both consultants and contractors is an added advantage. Strong experience in project management, interface management and design coordination, preferably in large scale civil, tunnelling project or underground infrastructure works.
