>> Spearhead WWF-Singapore's conservation and sustainability strategies, ensuring input and alignment to fundraising, campaigning, communications, sustainable finance and the global WWF Practices.
, supervise and build out the Conservation Team to ensure clear prioritisation of conservation and sustainability work, in line with WWF-Singapore’s conservation strategy. Ongoing development and fine-tuning of the conservation strategy will also be part of this role.
>>Monitor the progress and report on a pipeline of grant programmes/projects across Asia that are funded by Singapore. Work
with WWF teams in the region to identify and contribute to key projects in research seeing the projects through from initial inception and conceptualisation, to implementation, through alignment to conservation priorities, through progress monitoring, outreach and troubleshooting.
>>Ensure that all WWF-Singapore’s campaigns, communications, messaging and outreach are underpinned by science and other reliable evidence. Promote an ‘evidence-based approach’ to conservation thorough all aspects of the organisation, and for all staff.
>>Identify critical knowledge gaps around regional conservation and sustainability issues and engage with researchers and other stakeholders to ensure that these are filled and science applied effectively and appropriately.
>>Help to spearhead market transformational initiatives in the palm oil, rubber, forestry and food sectors, in order to guide and drive commodity production to be more sustainable and better integrate production and biodiversity conservation.
>>Stay on the pulse of WWF’s global conservation priorities, working closely in collaboration with the global experts in the fields of wildlife, climate and energy, sustainable finance, food system sustainability and commodities such as palm oil.
