Job Requirement
WHABBY! Music is looking for a Business Development Director/Sponsorship Engagement Consultant to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for developing a sponsorship and partnership business strategy, engaging with existing and potential sponsors, developing long-term strategic relationships and creating integrated campaigns to maximise revenue and budgets.
Responsibilities will include, but not restricted to:
Developing long-term strategic relationships with existing and potential sponsors and partners, as well as with internal stakeholders.
Managing the day-to-day operational requirements of campaign management from development, to execution and post implementation review.
Making recommendations on new commercial opportunities as well as exit plans, where appropriate.
Managing the negotiation of partnership and sponsorship deals.
Ensuring the sponsorship/partnership strategy is achieved.
Management, direction and delivery of all contractual obligations between CITY65 Music, WHABBY! Music & the Sponsors/Partners.
Working with the social & print media/marketing manager to integrate and use partnerships and sponsorships as a marketing tool.

Qualifications & Experience:

Significant previous relevant experience both with brand & digital marketing as well as identifying and securing sponsorship/partnerships.
Excellent communication skills, along with exceptional negotiating and influencing skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
Prior experience of working on music sponsorship/festivals/events, or having more than a passing interest in music would be advantageous, but not essential.

Additional Information:

Please note that working hours are likely to be ‘non-standard’ due to the industry. This position would suit an individual that requires some flexibility and the ability to plan their own working hours.
This post is currently a freelance post, on a Contract for Services basis. There will be a basic consultancy services fee paid per month, combined with commission based payment based on results.
