Adam Smith Center seeks to engage a Media and Video Assistant to enhance the impact of our educational media content. The assistant will be involved in projects from inspiration to final delivery, including the promotion of content on social media platforms. The role also offers unfettered creative license to pursue new segments and formats to accommodate an evolving organisation identity.
  • Work closely with teachers, instructors and curriculum specialists to produce engaging educational video content
  • Develop video content that incorporate short lecture style clips, informational explainers which introduce educational concepts, current affairs and big ideas, such as that seen in
  • Produce original documentary-type short films featuring thought leaders speaking on pertinent issues in economics, current affairs and public policy
  • Handle post-production editing which includes technical aspects, such as sound and exposure enhancements, subtitles and motion graphics
  • Create trailers and other video collaterals for marketing and promotional purposes
  • Upload, market and promote video and educational content on our website as well as social media channels of organisation
  • Refresh video formats/templates as needed
  • Tag, organise and archive all video content in a systemic fashion on a shared folder

*For 2021, we are currently looking for part-timers from September to December. Remote work only.
Job Requirement
Profile and Requirements
  • You have to be residing in Singapore with eligible documents only
  • Undergraduate students with an interest in media, video and communications work are welcome to apply
  • Ability to work independently and remain accountable
Bonus Requirements
  • A background in screen media, advertising, cinematography, motion graphics from NTU ADM, NAFA, LASALLE, or Design / Media faculties is most preferred
  • Skills in web development and knowledge of Content Management Systems, HTML5 and CSS a bonus
  • Familiarity with at least two mainstream design and collaboration tools (e.g. Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Photoshop, inVisionApp, Flinto, etc) a bonus
  • An interest in digital education and media outreach is a plus
