Accountant

Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of MIS & Administration, you will be leading a team of up 4 persons focus on the smooth running of the Accounting Section.

The role’s responsibilities include:
Preparation of financial statements in accordance with the local accounting standards.
Corporate tax computation; work closely with tax agent, ensuring prompt and accurate filing of tax documents.
Responsible for the prompt and accurate submission of reports to MAS, Head Office and other statutory bodies.
Efficient controls and accurate recording of expenses payment.
Involve in the preparation of the Branch’s budget.
Periodically review and update the Accounting and Financial Control Policy Manual and to establish accounting policies and procedures for new banking products.
Attend to any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Supervisor/Management.

Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or related discipline
Recognized professional qualification (CPA or equivalent)
At least 8-10 year of relevant working experience in the banking industry
Familiar with accounting, tax and MAS regulations in Singapore
Have to be able to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Meticulous and detail-oriented
Possess positive attitude, pro-active and leadership skills
