Established in 1893, Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne(EHL) is the world’s first hotel management school, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Today, EHL is considered by as one of the best hospitality management schools in the world, and is part of the network of Universities of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). While known as hospitality leaders, EHL graduates can also be found in top managerial positions in industries including banking, retail, consumer goods, travel and tourism.

The EHL Asia-Pacific Office in Singapore is EHL's first overseas office. Singapore is also the location of EHL’s first overseas campus which opened in 2021. The team of 14 is responsible for MAAC (Marketing, Admissions and Recruitment, Alumni and Industry Relations, Communications) for the university in the region.

We are looking for a Marketing and Events Intern for the region of Asia Pacific (APAC) based in the Singapore Office. This is a six-months internship, starting 1st August 2021. Your mission is to lead content generation for EHL Campus (Singapore) and to organize and manage the successful execution of virtual and on-site events across Asia Pacific, creating unforgettable experiences for its participants that meet EHL values and business objectives. This position reports to the Marketing Officer Asia-Pacific.

Your responsibilities
Marketing support for the APAC region with a specific focus and attention on Singapore
Generation of content ideas for Singapore
Research and feedback on interesting and relevant trends and events in Singapore
Feed the Content Lead with Singapore content
Coordinate with Creative Producers and the Content Lead
Manage the EHL Campus (Singapore) Instagram account; Create and schedule Instagram posts, stories, IGTV etc.
Gather APAC market intelligence through online research and conducting surveys
Assist in the conceptualization, planning and execution of events
Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure events run smoothly
Provide support and liaise with event stakeholders for both virtual and on-site events
Coordinate and monitor event timelines to ensure deadlines are met
Undertake any other ad-hoc related duties assigned

Able to work independently and also as part of a team to lead the execution of strategic plans to drive high priority initiatives that will shape the growth of the organization.
Passion for people and bringing people together
Has a keen interest and understanding of Singapore and its culture
Interested in sharing stories about Singapore and APAC
Familiar with social media tools, specifically Instagram
Ability to use scheduling tools
Avid learner and interested in APAC market and culture
Excellent written and verbal skills - English, Asian languages are a plus
Interest in the hospitality industry is an added value
Curious, has an attitude of continual learning
Collaborative spirit
Hands-on and performance-driven
Excellent sense of organization and detail-oriented in all deliverables
