Part time Job Description

Radiographer
  • Perform the whole body scan and other bone density scans on research participants using the DXA machine
  • Strict adherence to SOPs
  • Ensure safety and delivery of good service to research participants
  • Ensure proper use and care of the DXA machine and positioning aids, including handling of machine calibration and repairs
  • Conduct necessary QC tests before use of the DXA machine
  • Review imaging output quality and ensure that data collected is of good quality before saving and printing of reports for research participants

Sonographer
  • Perform research test procedures such as measurements of 2D and 3D carotid intima media thickness
  • Strict adherence to SOPs
  • Ensure safety and delivery of good service to research participants
  • Ensure proper use and care of the carotid ultrasound machine, including handling of machine calibration and repairs
  • Review imaging output quality and ensure that data collected is of good quality before saving and uploading the data into the server

Other details applicable to both positions
  • 42-hour work week, inclusive of Saturday mornings (a half-day off will be given on a scheduled weekday every week). Part-time positions are also available.
  • Work location: Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, NUS

Job Requirement
Radiographer
  • Diploma / Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 1-year experience in performing DXA scans. Having a valid R1 license would be an advantage  
  • Meticulous and able to work independently
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to use tablet for data collection

Sonographer
  • Diploma / Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 1-year experience in performing vascular ultrasound (experience in carotid ultrasound would be an advantage)
  • Meticulous and able to work independently
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to use tablet for data collection
