Academia is looking to hire an English teacher and curriculum developer to develop intellectual and rigorous local-global English curriculum that is editorial, humanistic and in sync with the zeitgeist of advanced capitalist societies.

● Teaching and hosting of lessons, whether physical or online, including managing students in classroom
● Marking and review of students’ work
● Interacting with parents on students’ progress
● Be part of the curriculum team at Academia Education Center to develop and enhance learning materials for English language at the primary and secondary school levels
● Embark on digital media development and delivery for digital courses

Job Requirement
Profile and background
● You have to be residing in Singapore with eligible documents preferred
● A strong background and proficiency with English language is essential, English or English literature majors are especially welcome but not absolutely required. Graduates from humanities and social sciences are also a good fit.
● Prior teaching or training experience is a plus. Relevant corporate experience is also welcome.
● no experience required from local universities with no prior teaching experience are especially welcome to apply.
● A good work ethic, and a strong ability to communicate effectively and manage the expectations not only of parents and students, but also the teachers.
● Must be meticulous and detail-oriented
● Willingness and ability to work on weekends (preferred and will receive higher remuneration accordingly)
● Social skills to get along well with high-profile clients and their children
● Awareness of the business aspects of the private education industry
